Men and Women – YES YOU CAN!

May 17 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

Free

What is this conference all about?

“I have weathered the storm for 36 years of being a woman in ministry. I have met with hostility and words of affirmation and sincere thanks. God the Father needs every saint to be serving in the Kingdom using all the gifts God has given them. Male & female working side-by-side as equals for the futherance of the Gospel” Pastor Marion

Lets serve, side by side… “Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.” (Psalm 92 v13

Can women teach and be in leadership?

Is the husbands role more than it appears?

How should headship work in the home?

Has error, traditional legalism and ignorance robbed us of valuable giftings?

For centuries God’s people have been searching for clear Biblical direction on men and women serving as equals.

The day will consist of: Worship. Three teaching sessions. and Prayer ministry The aim of the day is to set men and women free to live and serve fully in the body of Christ.

“What has encouraged and challenged me as a man is to discover that the answers to our questions are all in the Scriptures themselves. But it’s as if they are hidden in plain sight, hidden by the traditions we have grown up with. Come and find out for yourself what the Word really has to say about men and women, one in Messiah.” Richard Cary

Testimony……. from a very grateful lady…

“I’m amazed at the sermon about men and women from Pastor Marion, Richard and Helen. They addressed so many of the issues I have been struggling with as a woman and pertinent questions regarding a women’s place within the Bible / Church / Ministry according to: · Preaching · Teaching · Man’s misogyny against women within society/globally and in the Church · Women’s hurts passed down from partners/ husbands / male family members · Generational hurts · The hurts we carry and those scars which never seem to heal – but we ‘gloss’ over them · Women’s fight within society to be whole – our voices to be heard and our need – rightful Christian need, to be heard within a patriarchal society. · If it wasn’t for women, the Gospel would not have been carried out: Women were the ones who mourned Christ and sat at his feet as He died. Women have always had a deep heartfelt need for the Lord which flows quite naturally. · The subject of women’s attire and the need for modesty at all times – not just within the Church · Man’s need to usurp women for their own selfish needs (not all – but we are seeing this behaviour on the increase) and within the church i.e. men who feel they are superior to women within every sphere of society. I adored this sermon it addressed so many concerns I have had. More please! Women make up more than half the church congregation and our needs as women are very real. ‎I liked the fact that Richard gave the sermon initially and was magnanimous in his praise of his wife Helen – and that she has gifts, talents and abilities that are strengths to be celebrated and admired. Finally, the men coming forward and acknowledging within their selves. possibly for the first time – that they too have been emotionally wounded, possibly by a woman / women, and their own often unconscious misogyny towards the women in their lives.” Anon
